Welcome to your future

Choosing a school to lead you to greater success in life can be a daunting yet rewarding experience.  By navigating your future with the University of Loyola at CNMI, you can expect great rewards for your educational investment.  With us, you can thrive academically and professionally while having a great time exploring a tropical paradise and appreciate the diversity of culture around you.

Founded in 2007, the University of Loyola at CNMI provides an American education system to local and foreign students.  It is located on the tropical island of Saipan, the capital of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands which is a United States territory in the Western Pacific.

By plane, Saipan is only about 30 minutes away from Guam which is another US territory, and a few hours away from major Asian cities such as Tokyo, Manila, Seoul, Hong Kong and Beijing.

The University of Loyola is the first and only private institution in the CNMI that offers a program leading to an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASDN).  The two-year nursing program has grown steadily since the university’s founding, and is on its way to become the premier nursing school in the 14-island chain.

The high demand for nurses not only in the CNMI but also throughout the United States and many developed countries has encouraged students to enroll in the nursing program.  Besides the high demand for a high paying job, nursing students also find comfort in the University of Loyola at CNMI’s quality of education and its ability to help its graduates pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for registered nurses (RN) and find employment either in the CNMI or in the US mainland.

Health care facilities in California such as GSN Inc., Merced Nursing Registry and Kaiser Permanente Group of Hospitals are willing and ready to hire graduates of the University of Loyola at CNMI.

As the University of Loyola at CNMI continues to grow, it will also offer a competitive four-year Doctor of Medicine degree, a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and a four-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.

On Oct. 26, 2007, the CNMI Board of Regents granted the University of Loyola at CNMI an approval to operate a post-secondary educational institution in the CNMI offering degree courses in Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Business Administration.

In addition to degree programs, the University of Loyola at CNMI offers a six-month English as a Second Language (ESL) course for international students, an NCLEX review course for nurses, a USMLE review course for doctors of medicine, and a NAPLEX review course for pharmacists.  Other special courses such as Basic Communication Skills are also available at the university.

The University of Loyola at CNMI envisions itself as a bastion of American education in the Pacific by producing dedicated, skillful, ethical and compassionate professionals in a progressive and competitive educational environment.

And at the University of Loyola at CNMI, students are challenged to explore beyond rigorous academic classes to find success in their chosen career and seek life’s purpose regardless of what the future holds.
